Getting Started with Beaconed

Welcome to Beaconed! This guide will help you set up your account and create your first optimization.

What is Beaconed?

Beaconed helps your Shopify products get discovered by AI shopping agents like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI. We analyze your product listings and suggest improvements that make them more visible to these AI-powered shopping tools.

Quick Start

Step 1: Install the App

Visit the Shopify App Store and search for “Beaconed”
Click “Add app” and authorize the required permissions
You’ll be redirected to your Beaconed dashboard

Step 2: Sync Your Products

After installation, Beaconed automatically syncs your products. This process takes a few minutes depending on your catalog size.

Sync Status:

Pending: Product is queued for sync
Synced: Product data is ready for optimization
Error: Sync failed (usually temporary, will retry)

Step 3: Generate Your First Optimization

Go to the Products tab
Select a product you want to optimize
Click Generate Optimization
Review the suggested changes
Click Accept to approve or Reject to skip

Step 4: Apply Changes to Shopify

Once you accept an optimization:

Review the changes in the preview
Click Push to Shopify to apply changes
Changes appear on your live store immediately

Understanding AI Scores

Each product has an AI Visibility Score from 0-100:

Score Range	Rating	What It Means
80-100	Excellent	Highly optimized for AI discovery
60-79	Good	Well-optimized, minor improvements possible
40-59	Fair	Significant room for improvement
0-39	Poor	Major optimization needed

Higher scores mean AI shopping agents can better understand and recommend your products.
